A traffic stop in Viola results in multiple charges for a Galesburg man. 29 year old David R. Carlson was taken into custody on Wednesday by Mercer County Sheriff’s Deputies with assistance from the Viola Police Department on a Knox County warrant for failure to appear. The vehicle he was driving was towed from the scene. Additionally, Carlson was charged with possession of methamphetamine, resisting arrest, and driving while suspended. He is being held in the Mercer County Jail on $30,000 bond.
