A rural Aledo man is facing homicide charges following an investigation into the death of a man at a residence near Matherville on Tuesday, according to the Mercer County Sheriff’s Office.
Formal charges against 31-year-old Terrance Fetter are pending. He is currently in custody at the Mercer County Jail awaiting an initial court appearance.
According to a press release from the sheriff’s department, deputies were called to the residence just after 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday following a 911 call regarding a death. Upon arrival, deputies say they located a deceased male, who has been identified as 63-year-old Gregory Johnson of Aledo by Mercer County Coroner Greg Larson.
