The MC Art Collective is gearing up for its fourth annual Art Gala next weekend.
The event auctions off artwork from Mercer County School District students, alumni, and more.
Doors open at the Aledo Opera House at 5 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 3. Live bidding starts at 6:30 p.m.
Mercer County High School senior Lucas Weeks and New Boston Elementary School fifth-grader Sitarah Sloan joined WRMJ to preview the Art Gala.
Last year’s gala brought in more than $15,000 for local artists. A portion of the money went directly to the art students whose artwork was auctioned off, and the rest of the money helps fund trips and scholarships for art students in the Mercer County School District.
