Even though an aquatics center is on the drawing board for Aledo, the Fenton Park Pool will open this summer. An update from Aledo Park District Commissioner Tanner Dunn.
The pool was constructed in 1938 and 1939 as part of President Franklin D. Roosevelt’s Works Projects Administration.
An aquatics center is to be built at the former Farmers Grain and Coal site. Fundraising continues for that project.
