Renee J. Forber, 85 of Aledo, formerly of Houston, Texas, passed away on Sunday, August 9, 2026. Cremation rites are accorded with Fippinger Funeral Home, Aledo. Visitation will be 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., Saturday, September 12, at Fippinger Funeral Home. The Memorial service will directly follow at noon. Renee was born on December 7, 1940, in Aledo, the daughter of Franklin Forber and Margret Moline Forber. She attended New Boston and Aledo grade schools. She graduated from Aledo High School. She attended Houston Community College. She was a Respiratory Therapist at hospitals in Moline, Phoenix, and Galveston. The majority of her career was spent at MD Anderson Cancer Center, Houston. She moved back to Aledo 12 years ago. She was an active member of Aledo United Methodist Church. She also participated as an Aledo election judge for several years. She enjoyed traveling back to Houston to visit friends during the cold Illinois winters.
Survivors include her sister, Kim Pack, Yorkville; two nephews, Jeremy (Katy) Pack and Aaron Pack; one great nephew, Mason; and one great niece, Mia. She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Marchia.
