The City of Aledo is looking forward to opening the new Aledo Aquatics Center next year.
In a statement following this week’s announcement that the new facility will not be opening in 2026, the City of Aledo said it is “Disappointed that we were unable to open the new Aquatic Center in time for the 2026 swim season. As is typical for capital projects of this scale, we are getting closer to project completion every week, despite some unanticipated delays in the timeline.
Bucket Bay, the splash pad and spray ground that are part of the Aquatic Center should be completed in the next few weeks. Landscaping and the rest of the project will then follow. We look forward to welcoming Aledo and the surrounding area for swimming in May 2027.”
