Mercer County (2-3, 1-2 LLC Big) suffered a blowout loss for the second week in a row, falling to Knoxville (5-0, 4-0 LLC Big) 44-0 Friday.
The Blue Bullets outgained the Golden Eagles 404 yards to 103 yards in the win. All 404 yards of total offense for Knoxville were rushing yards. Nolan McClay carried the ball 13 times for 213 yards and three touchdowns for the Blue Bullets.
Mercer County is at Elmwood-Brimfield in Week 6.
Rockridge (4-1, 3-0 TRAC West) has won four games in a row after dispatching Orion (2-3, 0-2 TRAC West) 54-20 Friday.
Rocket quarterback Cullen Schwigen was 6-16 for 98 yards and a touchdown and carried the ball 10 times for 127 yards and two touchdowns. Alex Zarlatanes had 13 rushing attempts for 123 yards and two touchdowns in the win for Rockridge.
Orion’s Kale Filler went 13-25 passing for 182 yards and two touchdowns in the loss. The Chargers have lost three consecutive games.
Rockridge hosts Monmouth-Roseville in Week 6. Orion is at home against Erie-Prophetstown in Week 6.
Sherrard (2-3, 1-1 TRAC West) crushed Riverdale (0-5, 0-3 TRAC West) 49-16 Friday.
The Tigers led 43-3 at halftime. Holland Anderson was 5-5 for 152 yards and 3 passing touchdowns. Noah Fender carried the ball 5 times for 28 yards and two touchdowns. Fender also scored a defensive touchdown for the Tigers. Sherrard freshman running back Lane Luxmore had 11 carries for 74 yards and a touchdown in the second half.
Sherrard is at Morrison in Week 6.
