Hockenberry Bond Hearing Continued To Next Month; Charged In Sex Assault & Harassment Case

A motion hearing on a petition to revoke or increase bond for a Seaton man has been continued to next month. 49-year-old Mark Hockenberry’s attorney asked for and was granted the continuance Monday in Mercer County Circuit Court. The hearing will now be April 10.
Hockenberry was charged late last year with predatory criminal sexual assault of a child and aggravated criminal sexual abuse in connection with allegations in 2020, 2021 and 2022 involving a female youth. He has pleaded not guilty to those charges.
Hockenberry has also been charged with harassment through electronic communication. A first appearance and preliminary hearing has also been continued to April 10 in that case.
He posted ten-percent $250,000 bond in the sex assault case and then posted another ten-percent $40,000 bond in the harassment case.
