Dennis D. “Bubba” Terrill, 66 of New Boston, Illinois, was surrounded by family when he passed away at home on Tuesday, March 14, 2023. Visitation is 1 to 3 p.m., Saturday, March 18, at First Christian Church, Keithsburg, with a funeral service to follow at 3 p.m. Cremation will be accorded after the service. Memorials may be left for the family. Dennison Funeral Home, Aledo, is handling arrangements.
Dennis was born August 30, 1956, in Muscatine, Iowa, a son of John, Sr., and Lela Coulter Terrill. He graduated from Westmer High School in 1975. In June 1986 he married Tammy Crossley, they later divorced. Dennis was employed at Lafarge Corporation in Buffalo, Iowa, for 45 years, retiring in 2019.
Dennis was a fun loving guy…always joking and making people laugh. You could usually find him at Casey’s for his morning coffee and biscuits ‘n’ gravy, or cruising around with his dogs. He dedicated his life to his kids, he did whatever his kids wanted…this later passed on to his grandkids, he loved spending time with them. Dennis also enjoyed helping farmers at harvest time.
Those left to cherish his memory are his son: Andrew Terrill; daughters: Angela Koch and Ashley Wakeland; grandchildren: Bella and Lela Terrill, Kyla Fourdyce and Breanne Ellis, and Drake, Dayton, and Danica Wakeland; as well as nieces and nephew: Sara Lane, Tammy Siering, and John Terrill III.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers: Steven Terrill and John Terrill, Jr.
