Motion Hearing Scheduled For QC Man Convicted In Mercer County Sex Assault Case

A hearing on a motion to reconsider sentence has been scheduled for later this month for a Davenport man convicted in a Mercer County sex assault case. 37-year-old Antonio Cortez Williamson received a 45-year term in the Illinois Department of Corrections last July after he was found guilty of three Class X felony counts in an April of 2022 bench trial. He received a 15-year sentence for each count, to be served consecutively.
Williamson was arrested in August of 2019 following an investigation by the New Boston Police Department with assistance from the Mercer County Sheriff’s Department.
The case involved one child under the age of 13. Williamson is in custody at the Menard Correctional Center. The hearing is set for March 29 in Mercer County Circuit Court.
