The Sherrard Tigers were able to pull away late to top United 8-2 in the opener of the Class 2A Orion baseball regional. United closed the gap to 4-2 with the bases loaded in the fifth inning but the Tigers were able to escape the jam and get the win. At the Alleman regional, Annawan-Wethersfield beat Riverdale 3-1. In Class 1A, Galva beat Stark County 4-1 at the Stark County regional.
In softball, United blanked Monmouth-Roseville 10-0 in the Class 2A Rockridge regional. At Kewanee, the Boilermakers clubbed Deer Creek-Mackinaw 17-7. At the Beardstown regional, Rushville-Industry downed Farmington 4-3.
