Orion’s Danielle Taets lead area qualifiers at the Class 1A State Track Meet in Charleston Thursday. Taets had the days best time in the 100 High Hurdles and also qualified for the triple jump and 300 Low Hurdles. Mercer County qualified their 4 X 100 and 4 X 200 relay teams and Catelynn Hoffman qualified in the 200. Rockridge qualified their 4 X 400 relay team and the Rockets Katie Walker qualified in the 300 Low Hurdles. Alexandria Mack of Orion qualified in the 100 High Hurdles.
In the baseball regional baseball semi-finals played Thursday, Tremont topped ElPaso-Gridley 4-0 at Eureka, Midwest Central beat Deer Creek-Mackinaw 13-6 at Brimfield and Illini West stopped Knoxville 10-5 at Carthage.
