Kaycee Price delivered a two-out walk-off double in the bottom of the seventh inning to score Tatum Lowe from first base and give Rockridge (7-1, 1-0 TRAC West) a 6-5 win at home over Sherrard (8-1, 0-1 TRAC West) in softball Thursday.
Sherrard struck first with two runs in the top of the first inning. Rockridge answered with a pair of runs in the bottom of the first. The Rockets took their first lead of the day on a two-out RBI single by Estellah Bognar in the third inning. Bognar extended the lead with a two-run home run in the fifth to make it 5-2. The Tigers rallied in the top of the seventh, scoring three runs to tie the game. Savanah Hauger drove in two runs on a double, and Makensie Westfall tied the game with an RBI single.
Sherrard will host Rockridge on April 30.
