A former Mercer County High School ag teacher’s inappropriate text messaging case has been continued to December.
27-year-old Brandon Livingston appeared in Mercer County Circuit Court on Monday for a pre-trial conference, where it was continued to Dec. 15.
Livingston is facing a Class 3 felony of official misconduct and a Class A misdemeanor of distribution of explicit material to a minor. He pleaded not guilty to the charges last November.
Livingston was arrested last October and placed on administrative leave by the Mercer County School District at the time. He has since resigned from his teaching position. In a press release at the time of the arrest, the Mercer County Sheriff’s Department said it “received a complaint on Oct. 28, 2024, regarding seemingly inappropriate text messages that were sent to a minor.”
