Mercer County High School’s varsity softball coach has stepped down from the position and has been named the assistant principal at the school.
At last week’s Mercer County School District Board of Education meeting, Dustin Murray’s resignation as varsity softball coach was accepted, and he was officially hired as assistant principal, while retaining his role as the school’s athletic director.
Murray spent four seasons as the varsity softball coach at Mercer County, leading the Golden Eagles to an 80-44 record and the program’s only regional championship in 2023.
