Farm Country 102.3 WRMJ, in partnership with CBI Bank & Trust, has announced Ken Reinhardt as the December Farm Strong winner. The award, which recognizes resilience and dedication among local farmers, was presented to Reinhardt at Seaton Corners, accompanied by a $100 prize and a commemorative hat.
Reinhardt’s nomination stood out for his extraordinary quick-thinking during a potentially devastating situation. While working with his wife Kathy in the field, Reinhardt noticed fire falling from the side of their combine. Thanks to swift action and assistance from the Seaton and Aledo fire departments, disaster was averted.
“We emptied about seven fire extinguishers,” Reinhardt recalled, noting the pivotal help from his employee, who retrieved extinguishers from every available truck. “It could have been really bad, but we’re grateful for the team effort.”
