Secretary Of State’s Office Remains In Talks With Aledo To Bring DMV Back, City Says Agreement Expected

The City of Aledo is continuing to work on bringing a driver services facility back to the city.

The Aledo DMV location closed last month after the Illinois Secretary of State’s said it was unable to reach an agreement with its landlord on a new lease.

Aledo Mayor Chris Hagloch told WRMJ earlier this week that the state is in talks with a landlord in Aledo to bring a DMV back to the city.

Aledo City Administrator Mike Chausse indicated at Monday’s City Council meeting an expected timeframe of three to nine months for a lease agreement to be reached.
