Rory D. Frick, 62 of Aledo, Illinois, died Wednesday, October 4, 2023, at home. Per his wishes, cremation has been accorded and no services are planned. Memorials may be given in his name to Keithsburg First Christian Church. Dennison Funeral Home, Aledo, is assisting the family.
Rory Dean was born October 10, 1960, in Dickinson, North Dakota, the son of Ira “Lee” and Lois Ferguson Frick. The 1978 graduate of Westmer High School was a stand-out athlete at Westmer. He held the school records in the 100 and 200 dashes for many years. In 1980, he married Starr Tharp…together they raised three boys. They later divorced. Rory farmed for over 20 years, he then went to work at General Grind where he worked for 15 years, retiring in 2023.
Rory enjoyed helping Pastor Chuck with projects at the Christian Church. He liked to hunt, golf, and play cards. His greatest joy was time spent with his grandkids.
Those left to cherish his memory are his mother: Lois Frieden; sons: Josh (Andrea) Frick, Tyler Frick (Katie), and Zach (Amber) Frick; grandchildren: Tristan, Zane, Cole, Joslynn, Rylee, Marina, Grayson, Sierra, Cooper, and Baylor; siblings: Rodney (Cathy) Frick, Randy (Kelly) Frick, and Renee Harfst (Russ); as well as beloved nieces and nephews.
Rory was preceded in death by his father, Lee.
