Rockridge senior boys golfer Carter Scherschel and sophomore girls golfer Isabel Carroll each advanced to the IHSA State Finals in golf this weekend.
On Monday, Scherschel shot a round of 78 at the 1A Cambridge Sectional to move on. Carroll finished her sectional round with a score of 88 at the 1A Pontiac Sectional to advance.
Riverdale won the boys sectional championship in Cambridge by defeating Fulton in a tiebreaker at 312. Hall scored 324 to take third and also advance to the state meet as a team.
Tri-Valley shot 348 to win the girls sectional championship in Pontiac, followed by fellow team state qualifiers United (349) and Macomb (368).
