Riverdale had its girls basketball season ended in a 60-34 loss to Byron in the Sweet 16 on Thursday in Mendota.
The Rams (29-4) trailed just 20-15 to the No. 2-ranked Tigers at halftime of the 2A sectional championship game. Byron (31-2) would go on to outscore Riverdale 20-5 in the third quarter to put the game away.
