The Monmouth-Roseville High School football program made a $1,500 donation to injured Rockridge High School student-athlete Drew Hawk on Monday.
During Friday’s varsity football game between the two schools in Monmouth, Monmouth-Roseville set up donation buckets near its concession stand and promoted a Venmo account for people to donate digitally. The Monmouth-Roseville football program also donated money separately.
Hawk sustained a serious spinal injury in a diving accident in a pool in July. Rockridge High School has sold special T-shirts and buttons to raise awareness for Hawk.
