The City of Aledo has issued a boil order for parts of the southeast side of town due to a water main break.
Aledo Public Works identified a water main break on Southeast 12th Street on Thursday.
As a result, a boil order is in effect from Southeast 12th Street to Southeast 15th Street between Southeast 2nd Avenue and Southeast 5th Avenue. Residents in that area are asked to boil water for at least five minutes before drinking, cooking, washing dishes, or brushing teeth.
According to a press release from the City of Aledo, the boil order will last until Friday afternoon at the earliest. Crews will hand-deliver a notice directly to impacted residents’ doors as soon as the water is tested and safe to use again.
