The Mercer County School District will not be hiring its new football coach at December’s Board of Education meeting Wednesday.
Mercer County Schools Superintendent Tim Farquer told WRMJ Wednesday the district will conduct interviews after the holidays and have a recommended hire at next month’s meeting, which is scheduled for Jan. 15.
Following former head coach Tanner Matlick’s resignation last month, Farquer said the district was hoping to have its next coach in December.
