Statewide recognition for a local FFA Chapter.
The Mercer County FFA Chapter has been named the Section 4 winner in the 2024-25 Harvest for All competition, the Illinois Farm Bureau announced Friday. It’s a statewide program led by Illinois Farm Bureau in partnership with FFA chapters to combat food insecurity and serve local communities.
Mercer County raised funds and donated to several community groups, including the Food Pantry, the Senior Center, the Aledo Jaycees Nancy’s Kids, and the Honor Marker Project. In addition, FFA Members volunteered hundreds of hours to community groups.
The Mercer County FFA Chapter is among 25 statewide winners, which will be recognized during the Illinois FFA State Convention in June.
