Construction expected to begin this spring for a significant renovation project at the Aledo Opera House. The future will still involve movies, but also other uses like live music, stage productions, receptions, and banquets. Developer W.J. Albertson says the project will take shape in 2024.
The estimated price tag for the project is between $2.5 and $3 million. The city assisted with roof replacement through a 50-50 TIF grant last year, but the rest of the project is through private funding.
