Alleman High School’s former head football coach will join the Sherrard High School football staff, pending board approval.
Jeff Schmulbach, a Rockridge grad, is on Wednesday’s Sherrard School District Board of Education meeting agenda as a recommended assistant coaching hire.
Schmulbach will join new head coach Dan McGuire’s staff after spending the past two seasons leading the Alleman program. He was also the head coach at Galva from 2005-09 and has been an assistant at Prophetstown, Rockridge and Rock Island.
Schmulbach resigned as the head coach at Alleman last month.
