Connie Randolph – Services 5/24/23

Connie Randolph, 93 of Reynolds, Illinois, went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, on Saturday, May 20, 2023, at Mercer Manor in Aledo, Illinois. Visitation will be 4 to 6 p.m., Tuesday, May 23, at Speer Funeral Home in Aledo. The funeral services are 10 a.m., Wednesday, May 24, at Speer Funeral Home in Aledo. Burial will be in Buffalo Prairie Cemetery. Services will be live streamed on the Speer Funeral Home, Facebook page. Memorials may be made to the Antioch Baptist Church in Reynolds, Illinois.

Connie was born on August 30, 1929, in Duncan, Township, Mercer, County, Illinois, to Cecil and Bessie (Bethel) Randolph. He was blessed to marry Helen Jean Taylor on June 10, 1948, in Reynolds, Illinois.

Connie dedicated his life to the Lord and to the land. He lived his whole life on the family farm in Duncan Township, where he and Helen farmed together and raised their family. Connie cherished the time spent with his family. His church family was a treasure to him. He was a Sunday school teacher at Antioch Baptist Church for many years. He was a member of this church since 1948. A long time Christian man. He was a Christian mentor to this little country church as well as to his family, friends, and neighbors. Connie Randolph was a good and faithful servant.

Connie lived by the motto, love one another, and always put Jesus first! One of his favorite Bible scriptures was John 14:6, Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” Connie enjoyed doing many things, such as gardening, fishing, and even playing a few table games, but most of all he enjoyed witnessing to everyone he met.

Connie is survived by his wife, Helen; children, Janet Solis, of Zacatecas, Mexico, and Mike and Tracey Randolph of Reynolds; grandchildren, Tom and Anna Lesnet, Makayla Randolph, Sean and Tori Randolph, Amy and Dale Jones, Nicole and Chad Henry, Joel and Toni Solis, Nathan Solis, and Ethan Solis; 12 great-grandchildren; and 11 great-great-grandchildren. He is also survived by two sisters, Pat and Roger Hahn of Davenport, Iowa, and Paula and Jerry Frantz of Leavenworth, Kansas.

Connie was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Thomas; son-in-law, Jose Solis; and his brother, Curt.
