Sherrard High School football coach Dan McGuire has retired, the school district announced on social media on Friday afternoon.
McGuire was named Sherrard football coach in May and was officially hired in June.
The 2025 season was the first year since 2000 that McGuire coached high school football after leading Moline from 1991-2000.
Sherrard went 2-7 in 2025.
