Sherrard High School girls track and field coach Todd Volkert will be inducted into the Illinois Track and Cross Country Coaches Association (ITCCCA) Hall of Fame in January.
Volkert has led the Sherrard girls track and field program to the 2007 1A state championship, eight top-10 finishes at state, 16 sectional championships and 18 conference championships. He’s coached 219 individual state qualifiers, 81 state medalists and four individual state champions.
Volkert is a two-time ITCCCA Coach of the Year.
