Mercer County (11-15, 2-6 TRAC West) upset Rockridge (17-8, 5-3 TRAC West) 53-47 at home Friday.
The Golden Eagles opened the game on a 7-0 run and never relinquished the lead. It was 13-9 at the end of the first quarter, 21-18 at halftime, and 33-29 at the end of the third.
Carson Boelens netted a game-high 23 points for Mercer County. Brady McPeek added 11 in the win. The Golden Eagles shot 15-16 from the free-throw line.
Landon Bull scored 12 points to lead Rockridge. Caleb Cunico and Baylen Leemans had 11 in a losing effort. Cunico scored his 1,000th career point in the game.
Rockridge played without senior point guard Landon Wheatley, who sat out with a knee injury.
