MERCO & Sherrard Play Active Role In ACE Camp; Year 25 For Event

Around two hundred (200) second graders from all over Mercer County gathered at the Mercer County Fairgrounds on Tuesday to learn more about agriculture, conservation, and the environment. The Mercer County Farm Bureau Ag in the Classroom co-sponsors this event in conjunction with the Mercer County Soil & Water Conservation District.

The day allows students from the Apollo, New Boston, Sherrard, and Winola elementary schools to have hands-on experiences in areas related to agriculture, conservation, and the environment in addition to providing some fun activities.
The Sherrard and Mercer County FFA chapters staffed two stations.
