A Sherrard man has been denied pre-trial release after being arrested in a predatory criminal sexual assault of a child investigation. 58-year-old Arden S. Anderson was taken into custody Sunday, according to a Mercer County Sheriff’s Department press release. He appeared in Mercer County Circuit Court Tuesday. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Sept. 16.
Anderson is facing two Class X felonies and is being held in the Mercer County Jail without bail.
