Some reminders as election day approaches. Locally, regular voter registration ends October 8 and grace period starts October 9 at the Mercer County Clerk’s office. Early voting starts Sept. 26 and runs through Nov. 4.
You can also register at Secretary of State Driver’s License facilities and online at the State Board of Elections website ova.elections.il.gov through Oct. 20.
Also, from the Mercer County Clerk’s office, election judge training will take place Sept. 12. There is a morning session at 10 a.m. and afternoon session at 1 p.m.
