An honor marker program having great success in Mercer County. The effort is being led by Jay Doherty and has resulted in nearly 500 veterans getting proper recognition at their grave-sites.
In addition to Aledo and Penial cemeteries, Doherty says the honor marker program is focusing on all Mercer County cemeteries as fundraising continues for the effort.
