WRMJ’s Trees In The Park Kicks Off Holly Days

A large crowd made its way to downtown Aledo Friday night for Holly Days. WRMJ’s Trees in the Park got things started at 5 pm. This year the judges chose the tree sponsored by Genesis Health Group and decorated by the Genesis Sunshine Committee as the overall winner. The tree was also the top vote getter for the People’s Choice award. Second place went to the tree sponsored by General Grind and Machine and decorated by the Mercer County High School AP Art class. Third place, by virtue of winning on the tie breaker of representing the theme, was the tree sponsored by Danndee Flowers and decorated by the Mothers of Pre-Schoolers. All received cash awards courtesy of WRMJ. The Aledo Main Street Electric Light Parade then entertained everyone as it went down Main Street at 5:30. The parade winners will be announced Monday morning.

Thank you to all the sponsors and decorators of this year’s Trees in the Park!
