Wood Floor Project Almost Done; Weight/Wrestling Room Up Next At Sherrard High School

Construction set to begin early next month on a new weight room and wrestling room addition at Sherrard High School.

Sherrard superintendent Alan Boucher says the 6,900 square foot project is being funded through proceeds from the 1-percent school facility occupation tax in both Rock Island and Mercer Counties. Hodge Construction has been awarded the $1.1 million project, which is scheduled to be completed by December.
Boucher also reports that the new wood floor project in the high school’s main gym is nearing completion and should be finished by the start of school next month.
