William ‘Danny’ Henry – Celebration Of Life 8/16/24

William “Danny” Henry, 76 of Keithsburg, Illinois, passed away Tuesday, August 13, 2024, at the Great River Hospice Home in Burlington, Iowa. A celebration of life service will be held from 5 to 7 p.m., Friday, August 16, at the Fippinger Funeral Home in Aledo, Illinois. Danny was born on March 8, 1948, in Moline, Illinois, to William James and Ann Linnea Olson Henry. He graduated from Aledo High School in 1966. After high school, Danny enlisted in the United States Navy as an aviation electrician. Danny married Helen Maxine Stevens on July 4, 1974, at the Keithsburg Christian Church. Danny was employed as an electrician at Maytag and later as an electrical technician for Case New Holland. He retired in 2004.

Danny was a past member of the Keithsburg Boat Club and proud member of UAW Local 807. He enjoyed fishing, camping, being on the river, having fish fries, building his house, and collecting coins. Danny was always there to help his friends with any electrical work they needed.

Danny is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Maxine Henry of Keithsburg; four sons, Sean (Kim) Henry of Melbourne, Florida, Brad (Shayna) Henry of Pasadena, California, Michael (Liz) Henry of Bettendorf, Iowa, and Phillip Henry of Honolulu, Hawaii; three grandchildren, Adale, Matthew, and Maxwell; two sisters, Rita (Bill) Marks of Kansas City, Missouri, and Joanne (Howie) Barnard of New Boston; one brother-in-law, Larry Olson of Alexis; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Lorraine Shaughnessy, Patricia Johnson, and Catherine Olson; brother, Nicholas Henry; and two brothers-in-law, Jim Shaughnessy and Russell Johnson.
