The holiday spirit is alive in downtown Aledo, as this year’s Aledo Main Street Trees in the Park display lights up Central Park. Around a dozen trees are featured this year, despite a nationwide tree shortage that drove up prices and limited participation compared to years past.
Judging took place last Friday night during the Holly Days celebration, and some tough decisions were made. The Judge’s Choice Award went to the Mercer County High School Art Club / MC Art Collective, while the People’s Choice Award was earned by the Mercer County Junior High Life Skills Class.
This cherished tradition is brought to life with the support of sponsors which include Mercer Manor Rehabilitation, Essig Motors, Huffman’s Farm & Home, and the Kiwanis Club.
The festive trees will remain on display in Central Park throughout the holiday season, so there’s still time to enjoy the holiday magic in Aledo.
