An idea of Mercer County High School students close to becoming a reality. Phase 1 of the Street Sounds speaker project nearing completion in downtown Aledo. Teacher Rusty Ruggles helped with the effort.
The project was funded through a combination of a private donation and city funds.
Ruggles is also involved in another year of the Mercer County Community Band, which is getting ready for the 2023 season.
The community band will perform June 29 and July 4 at the Aledo Central Park Band Shell.
