Sherrard (16-2, 7-0 TRAC West) beat Mercer County (8-9, 5-1 LTC West) in baseball in five innings Wednesday, 12-1, at the Joel Brunsvold Complex.
The Tigers scored seven runs in the first inning and added four more runs in the third to lead, 11-0, early. Sherrard batted around twice in its four trips to the plate in the game.
Holland Anderson and Cam Davis both drove in three runs for the Sherrard.
Zach Knox (1-0) was the winning pitcher for the Tigers. He tossed three shutout innings.
Jude Hofmann (1-2) took the loss for the Golden Eagles. He gave up seven runs, three earned, in two-thirds of an inning.
