The Sherrard girls cross country team won its first meet of the season at the Rocket Run in Rock Falls Wednesday.
The Tigers finished with a team score of 54, five points better than second-place Ridgewood’s 59. Sherrard’s Anna Churchill (20:13) and Beth Churchill (20:14) took third and fourth place individually. Kylie Mathis finished 15th for Sherard.
Ridgewood’s Emily Downing (17:56) and Jana Vande Kemp (19:54) finished first and second.
