Sherrard (20-3, 9-0 TRAC West) clinched a share of the TRAC West baseball championship with a 5-4 comeback win over Monmouth-Roseville (11-13, 5-5 TRAC West) Monday at the Joel Brunsvold Complex.
The Tigers trailed, 4-3, entering the bottom of the sixth inning. Sherrard scored a pair of runs in the frame to take the lead.
Aidan Terronez drove in two runs in the win. He earned a no-decision on the mound, allowing four runs (two earned) on four hits in 5.2 innings. He struck out 12 batters.
Jacob Fratzke (4-1) was the winning pitcher for Sherrard after throwing 1.1 scoreless innings in relief.
The Tigers have three conference games remaining this week. Sherrard needs to win one of them to win the TRAC West outright.
