Seaton Fire Protection District voters approved an increase in both the Ambulance Service Levy and the Corporate Tax Levy Tuesday night. The amount levied will increase from .003 to .004 for both. According to Seaton Fire Protection District President Ron Gray, the increase will help Seaton Fire continue to provide Advanced Life Support Ambulance Services and allow for expansion of the fire station. The ambulance levy increase was approved 201 to 63 and the corporate tax levy hike was approved 142 to 88.
Also Tuesday night, Keithsburg residents approved the formation of a fire protection district by a vote of 235 to 32.
