Rockridge (13-3, 4-0 TRAC West) started the new year with their fifth straight win, defeating Riverdale (11-5, 2-1 TRAC West), 68-51.
The Rockets led 14-11 at the end of the first quarter then opened the second quarter on a 13-0 run to take a 27-11 lead. Rockridge was up at halftime 33-17 and led by as many as 28 points in the second half.
Rockridge junior point guard Landon Wheatley suffered a tailbone injury in the first quarter and never returned to the game.
Caleb Cunico netted 24 points for Rockridge, including five three-pointers. TJ Wilson added 15 points for the Rockets.
Jake Willems paced Riverdale by scoring 17 points in the loss.
