Orion Wins TRAC Boys Track & Field Title

Orion claimed the Three Rivers Athletic Conference (TRAC) boys track and field championship in Sherrard Friday.

The Chargers scored 91.5 points and finished less than five points ahead of second-place Kewanee (88) and third-place Mercer County (87).

Local individual conference champions included Orion’s Owen Voorhees in the 100, Mercer County (John Baldwin, Jacob Kenney, Tannen Whitehall, Daylen Blaser) in the 4×100 and 4×200, Rockridge (Jacob Freyermuth, Caleb Cunico, Trevor Dye, Wyatt Osborn) in the 4×800, Mercer County’s Daylen Blaser in the long jump, and Orion’s Wyatt Steen in the high jump.
