One person injured following a weekend accident near Aledo. According to a Mercer County Sheriff’s Department press release, a motorcyclist was traveling on Illinois Route 94 when he swerved to avoid a truck driven by 44 year old Aaron M. Baker of Aledo. The driver of the motorcycle was injured after laying down the motorcycle on the roadway and later treated and released from Genesis Medical Center Aledo. Baker was cited for DUI. Mercer County Sheriff’s Deputies were assisted at the scene by the Aledo Police Department.
