Aledo’s Monument Park getting more attention. The Historic Preservation Commission wants to place five interpretive panels at the site, which features a statue and memorial honoring 352 Mercer County soldiers that died in the Civil War. The group met this week says chair Kate Danner.
Recent improvements to Monument Park have included benches, sidewalks, and three shrubs.
