Mercer County High School is planning a Veterans Day celebration next month.
Mercer County High School Principal Joel Zaiser says the school and Mercer County Veterans Assistance Commission are collaborating to put on an event during the school day on Nov. 10, the day before Veterans Day, to honor local veterans.
Veterans Assistance Commission Superintendent Jay Doherty says it’s meaningful to put on an event like this for students.
The event will be open to the public, and all local veterans are invited to attend. It’s scheduled for Nov. 10 at 10 a.m. at Mercer County High School.
