Following both speakers in support and opposition, the Mercer County Board has approved rezoning of Bieri Properties. The action paves the way for Mercer County Motorsports, a site for side-by-sides, ATVs, and dirt bikes. The vote was taken Tuesday night says Mercer County State’s Attorney Grace Simpson.
The property is located west of Matherville. The Mercer County Zoning Board previously unanimously approved the rezoning request.
An attorney representing neighbors opposed to the rezoning told WRMJ they are undecided as to whether they will challenge the county board’s decision through administrative court.
