A local non-profit organization is finding success in fighting local rural homelessness.
Mercer County Better Together (MCBT) administers the Mercer County Emergency Housing Fund, which provides support to area residents who lack stable housing. Since the fund opened in 2023, it has assisted nearly 200 people in finding in emergency housing by providing more than $25,000 local people in need, says MCBT Executive Director Kyle McEwen.
